2 x Customer Service Assistants - Coventry Building Society

Our friendly team in our Merry Hill branch are looking for a customer focused, helpful person who loves providing excellent service, to join them. Working in the heart of the community our team are key in understanding what’s important to our diverse range of customers and create a sense of belonging for everyone. It’s a team orientated, supportive environment where every day is different.

Your main responsibilities will be building relationships with our members, completing their transactions accurately and handling money safely. You’ll support our wide range of customer enquiries by giving information in a friendly and efficient way. Being a team player is also important as you’ll want to help those around you.

Taking responsibility by finding solutions for our customers, whilst keeping up to date with our services and policies will also be important. You’ll also support all our customers however they use us, through administration enquiries by inputting information accurately and by taking telephone calls when required.

As part of this role you’ll work through our supportive pay accreditation scheme, which supports your development in the role. This not only recognises the experience you’re gaining but increases your salary at each point (there are 5 levels in total and are reviewed regularly).

You’ll be required to work 35 hours a week, flexibly across the Merry Hill working hours Monday to Friday 9am – 7pm and Saturday 9am – 2pm.

We have a reputation for excellent customer service and we’d really like to meet people who care about people as much as we do!

You’ll already have some experience of dealing with customers and providing a good level of service but with regards to our systems and services, we can train you how to use them!

Dealing with transactions in careful and accurate way is a big part of the role, so it would be helpful, but not essential if you already have some cash handling experience. You’ll be talking to lots of different people so you’ll like chatting and be confident talking to a diverse range of different people.
