Celebrating Earth Day at Merry Hill 22 April 2026

Happy Earth Day! We love having a day to celebrate all our environmental initiatives that make Merry Hill go round every day.

Here’s a snapshot of the amazing work we do and its impact:

☀️ We have 2757 solar panels on the roof – in 2025 alone, we consumed 515,332 kWh.

⚡Since 2022, 100% of the electricity obtained for Merry Hill is REGO (Renewable Energy Guarantees of Origin) green electricity.

🚐 We have 100 EV chargers across our car parks – find our Tesla chargers on P1 Car Park and our Zest chargers at P1, P2, P3, P4 and P6 Car Park. Plus, we have 2 electric vehicles of our own!

♻️ We’re proud to send zero waste to landfill, and we recycled 48% of our waste in 2025.

💦 In 2025, we reduced our water use by 2%!

🥕 Our wonderful team manage our very own allotment throughout the year.

🌳In 2025, we planted 18 birch trees across site – we can’t wait to see them flourish!

But looking after our planet also means looking after the people on it, and we’re proud of our continued support for a range of local causes and initiatives, including our Charity of the Year, Black Country Food Bank, as well as Black Country Women’s Aid and Team Pumpkin Boxing, to name just a few.

We also love to see how Merry Hill brands contribute towards a greener planet, from reducing and recycling food waste to recycling schemes for customers!
