Your adventure begins inside the Toymakers’ Workshop, where your little ones will be joined by fellow young toymakers for an interactive toymaking experience. With the help of our Toymakers, they’ll get stuck into their very own Toymakers task and become part of the story.

Then, it’s the moment they’ve been waiting for! Each family will be invited to meet Santa for their own family visit, with time to chat and take photos, and every participating child will receive a special Christmas gift.

What is The Toymakers’ Grotto?

The Toymakers’ Grotto, at Merry Hill in the West Midlands, is a magical Christmas experience designed to bring festive fun to the whole family. Kids can take part in an interactive toymaking adventure before enjoying a special visit with Santa Claus.

What age is The Toymakers’ Grotto suitable for?

Best suited to children aged 4-8, but all ages are welcome. Alternative activities are available for younger children.

When should I arrive?

Please arrive at least 10 minutes before your session starts.

Do children need an adult with them?

Yes, all children must be accompanied by an adult.

Can babies attend?

Babies under 12 months go free (one per adult) but will not receive a gift.

Can older children attend without taking part?

Yes, but an adult ticket must be purchased.

Do I need to book in advance?

Pre-booking is recommended, as walk-in availability cannot be guaranteed.

Is the experience accessible?

Yes, wheelchairs are welcome. Please contact the events team in advance if you require assistance.

Can I bring a buggy or stroller?

Due to limited space, buggies and strollers must be left outside the experience.

Can I take photos and videos?

Yes, but please be considerate of other guests.

Are there SEN-friendly sessions?

Yes, the first session of each day is a relaxed session with gentler lighting and sound, and reduced capacity. Please contact us in advance if you would like to discuss accessibility needs further.
