Easter Egg Design Competition Terms & Conditions
- The competition will run from Thursday 26th February – Tuesday 10th March.
- The closing date for paper entries will be 8.59pm and digital entries 11.59pm on Tuesday 10th March. After this date, no further entries to the competition will be permitted.
- To allow young creative minds to shine, all designs must be created by children under 16 years of age only.
- All entries must be submitted by residents of the United Kingdom aged 18 years or over, on behalf of eligible participants under the age of 16.
- To enter, entrants must submit their Easter egg design via the Merry Hill website or at the Customer Service Desk, Lower Mall near Holland & Barrett and Ernest Jones.
- By sharing these designs with us, permission is being granted for these to be used as part of Merry Hill’s Easter event. This will include the winner’s first name and age being on display.
- We kindly ask that licensed characters and brands are not included as part of the design. If entrants submit a design using these, they will be disqualified from winning.
- Paper entries must be made on A4 paper to allow for the design to come to life.
- There is no entry fee and no purchase necessary to enter this competition. One entry is allowed per child, however multiple children from the same household may enter.
- By entering this competition, an entrant is indicating their agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.
- The grand prize for 9 separate winners is £50 Merry Hill gift card, plus their design displayed at Merry Hill Shopping Centre between Friday 27th March – Monday 6th April.
- The winning designs will be selected by a board of representatives at Merry Hill. Entrants’ designs will be judged anonymously, and the judges will have no prior knowledge of the entrants’ identities.
- The winners will be notified via direct message from the official Merry Hill marketing email (merryhill.marketing@mymerryhill.co.uk) before 5pm on Wednesday 11th March, and will have until 12pm on Friday 13th March to reply.
- If no attempt is made to respond, Merry Hill will select another winner(s) from the competition entrants before 5pm that day. The next-placed winner(s) will have until 12pm on Monday 16th March to get in touch. If the second winner(s) do not get in touch then the prize will no longer be valid and no other winner will be selected.
- If entry is made digitally, we advise to retain the original paper copy. If required upon winning, this must then be submitted to the Customer Services Desk by Wednesday 18th March in order for the design to be used.
- Prizes are non-transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash.
- No responsibility can be accepted for entries not received for whatever reason.
- The promoter is Merry Hill whose registered office is at Merry Hill Centre, Brierley Hill, West Midlands, DY5 1QX.
